The Green & Solar Cottage is an experience in comfortable, gracious living where everything is provided and at your fingertips! Our goal with the cottage is sustainable living and connection to the outdoors. Our repurposed furniture and accessories are sourced locally and assembled with a designer's eye for function, comfort and beauty. Located in the heart of the Farmcoast, our cottage is truly a natural oasis.
Our first floor is open plan living with a custom kitchen, fully stocked with everything you'll need to prepare a sumptuous meal, a comfortable dining area and a cozy, comfortable living room where you can relax with a glass of local wine reading or watching a netflix movie on the ample screen
The Living room opens onto a 12 foot x 24 foot deck, shaded by a solar paneled roof, overlooking a vernal pond. Birdhouses, rabbits, flora and fauna entertain daily. Dine alfresco on the deck with locally sourced food and wine from local farmsteads and wineries.
The second floor features a main bedroom with a Queen size bed overlooking the vernal pool and backyard. The second bedroom has a twin daybed with a twin trundle that can be pulled out from underneath.
Our wonderful cottage is constructed of Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPS) which are super energy efficient. We have Solar photovoltaic panels on the deck roof for electricity and Solar water tubes that heat the water tank, backed up by an electric demand heater for constantly available hot water.
